Identify the pair before comparing pictures
QC is short for quality control. A set of pictures described as QC is useful only to the extent that you can connect it to the relevant pair. Record the source, date if available, item identifier and photographed size or variant.
If the pictures come from another order or have no identifiable reference, label them as reference photos. Do not describe them as an inspection of your item.
Request a complete set of views
- Both side profiles, taken at comparable distance and height.
- Front views of the toe area and rear views of both heels.
- Outsoles and visible edges where the sole meets the upper.
- Size labels and selected-variant details.
- Any requested measurement with the endpoints and units visible.
Different camera angles can exaggerate a toe shape or sole height. Ask for matching views before attributing an apparent difference to the product.
Write observations another person can locate

Keep conclusions within the evidence
Photos may show visible alignment, marks or differences. They cannot establish comfort, material composition, authenticity, seller reliability or performance in use. A physical check can answer some different questions, but no physical testing was performed for this guide.
Do not assign a numerical quality score just because a set of photos is complete. Record the unresolved issue and the evidence needed to resolve it.
